My digi is Cupido from Zuri Artsy Craftsy and is adorable! I decided to colour this little cutie and pop him in a pop up card. I did this by using a blank template, mounting some coordinating paper and adding some hearts. I put Cupido and the hearts onto some acetate to make them appear as if they are floating. I finished my card with a love sentiment on glitter cardstock.

Simply Create Too - #102 Love / Valentines

This fortnights challenge over at Simply Create Too is #102 Love/Valentines. I found this fantastic little guy over at Treasure Box Designs. I cut him out on my chosen cardstock and distressed the edges using Tim Holtz faded jeans and worn lipstick. I gave the love bug some dimension by layering him up using 3d foam. I wanted to give my card some extra bling so I cut the heart in red mirror board. I cut some extra for added embellishment.

I got my amazing digi from Smeared Ink! I coloured it with two tones of blue ProMarkers. I was very lucky because Santa brought me a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas so I created a bendy card template and cut it out to create my card blank. I then used a scalpel to follow the bendy lines to cut my patterned paper. My lovely neice made me some homemade sugar scrub so I reused the pheasants feathers from there. Finally I added some gems at the top and a perfect sentiment.

My new things for this project are:

1. A new fold
2. Using my cameo to create the card blank
3. A new image from somewhere I hadn't heard of
4. Using feathers 
5. A brand new paper pad

Simply Create Too #100 Its Party Time

I created this card for the new challenge over at Simply Create Too where our theme is "It's party time!" which runs from the 8th-22nd Jan. I loved making this card as I created my own card blank by cutting down some foiled card stock to 6x6 then mounting my image on corresponding pink mirror board. Finally I used my new Cameo to cut out the sentiment and added some stickles glitter and gems.

I finished my card with a glittered gold Santa cut from glittered card stock with Christmas Flight from Britannia Dies and a wooden gingerbread man.

Christmas Box

Wow where is the time going?? I have been so busy making and doing I haven't had a chance to post for ages!

My nephews made a bauble for their mum as a surprise Christmas gift. I made a box for it using Crafters Companion cupcake favor box template. I then added a spellbinders poinsettia to the front of the box with added gold stickles.

 This is how it looks once it is closed and hung on the tree.
