Been fishing?

I am so proud of this very special card for my father in law's 70th birthday! He loves fishing, so that was the theme for the card and cake. I found some great paper in my stock for the background.

I used some 3d shaker foam to add some dimension to the card and used Glossy Accents for the glasses to make them look like glass.

My husband and I also created this huge cake for his surprise birthday party down in Bognor. The cake went down a treat!

Marvelous Mums

Two special cards made for two special ladies. The top one for my mum and the second one for my mother in law. I was inspired to make this background after seeing Beccy from Beccy's Place had been making her own backgrounds with left over paper scraps. I loved the idea so thought I'd have a go and I love the result!

I have recently started an online colouring course with Kit & Clowder and so far have only completed the basic skin shading. I am so happy at how quickly my colouring has changed and recommend it to everyone! I used one of my new dies called Plum Blossom from Spellbinders for extra detail.

Finally I mounted all the parts onto the background with 3D foam to give it some dimension.

Peacock

I love this peacock image from Doodle Pantry. After colouring it with Pro Markers I decided that it was missing a little something so I added some gold stickles glitter to his tail. I then paired the image with some teal card stock from my stash and a beautiful blue/green glittery ribbon.

This was the first image I found of Jade's and have been saving it for someone special. This card is for my mum. I embossed some Sheena stamps from - a little bit oriental using Martha Stuart gold embossing powder to tie in gold from the ribbon which I hand tied.

Baby Olivia

A card I am very happy with for baby Olivia! I love Riley and Company images and got a set imported, this stamp was a must as all my friends are having babies. I cut the image out using my Sizzix fancy labels dies and matted it on corresponding card. I found some lovely papers in my stash which worked well together. I used oriental letters as baby Olivia is part Chinese.

Crazy Cat 30th

A joke between my best friend and I is that she is a crazy cat lady so I just had to make her card cat related. She only actually has two cats so I squeezed as many in as I could. A great feature of the pets in a mess CD is that you can recolour things so I recoloured the sofa to match hers and the lady's hair to match my friends. I then recoloured her clothes to match the card and added a picture of a dog which I recoloured to match her chocolate lab.

I finished the card off by adding lots of layers with 3D foam, some glitter and gemstones.
